As an alternative to the operation of the Vector License Client via the graphic user interface, you can start several actions via command line interface (CLI). All actions can be carried out by entering commands and different parameters, e.g., in the DOS Prompt.

Commands

The following main actions are available to you:

• Activation of a license (command: activate)
• Deactivation of a license (command: deactivate)
• Reactivation of a license (command: reactivate)
• Repairing a license (command: repair)
• Update Licenses (command: updateLicenses)

In addition, the following commands are available for specific contexts:

• Listing of licenses (command: listlicenses) for reporting and information
• Upload (command: upload) for offline procedures
• Update (command: update) for offline procedures
• Install (command: install) for offline procedures
• Commands to configure license servers (commands: addServers, removeServers and removeAllServers)
• Manage user assignments (commands: createnamelistfile, importnamelist, importnamelistfile)

After the execution of a command in the command line, a notification is displayed in the command line. This may either be a success or an error notification.
