Activation Basics

• The activation key supplied by Vector or by your local license admin is required during the activation process. For more information, contact the Vector Sales department.
• The computer on which you execute the activation may also be the license carrier at the same time.
• To find out if your license carrier (e.g., computer, keyman, Vector network interfaces) is supported by the Vector License Client, please refer to the corresponding help. Otherwise the Vector License Client user interface will automatically check and display all supported and currently available license carriers in the selection field during the activation process.

Cross Reference

• As a consequence, the license disappears from the activation key after the first completion of the online or offline activation procedure.
  However, if you wish to activate a license for a second time, i.e., after an accidental deactivation or in order to activate it on another license carrier, please refer to chapter Exchange License Carrier.
