Deactivation Basics

You have the following two options to deactivate licenses:

Online deactivation: The computer on which you perform the action has an Internet connection.
Offline deactivation: The computer on which you perform the action does not have an Internet connection.

Cross Reference

No activation key is required during the deactivation process. However, if you wish to switch to a new license carrier, refer to chapter Exchange License Carrier.

Notice!

You may change between the online or offline method at any time. However, you must complete each procedure by using only one method. You must not change the method during a current deactivation process!
