Reactivation Basics

Reactivation is a feature that requires to reactivate a license once in a certain period of time. This simplifies the process of replacing a license in the case the license carrier (e.g., computer, keyman, Vector network interface) was lost or is no longer available.

You have the following options to reactivate licenses:

  • No activation key is required during the reactivation process. However, if you wish to switch to a new license carrier, refer to the help page Exchange License Carrier.
  • To find out if a license is reactivatable, please view the column Is Reactivatable in the overview of the main window (refer to user interface). This option depends on the purchase details of the corresponding Vector tool, please contact the Vector Sales department for more information.

  • You may change between the online or offline method at any time. However, you must complete each procedure by using only one method. You must not change the method during a current deactivation or reactivation process!
