Configure a License Server

 

This information applies only to licenses of the type Named User (Network Activation).

If you configure a computer as a customer license server, the licenses on the configured server can be used on the network by the other computers. You need administrator rights for this operation.

Procedure

Using a Computer as a License Server

  1. Open the command line interface.
  2. Enter the following command:
    Vector.LicenseClient -licenseServer (true|false) [-disableLogging] [-v]
  3. Press <Enter>.
    The computer now acts as a license server.

Example

Activate License Server

Vector.LicenseClient -licenseServer true [-v]
