Device Information
In this section you get information about the connected hardware. Here e.g. the serial number, the hardware type, and different version information are displayed.
Device Description
The host name of the VTP devices is automatically set by default by the device image. However, you also have the possibility of giving a device an individual description in order to identify it quickly. For example, a device could be given the name of the ECU it is to simulate, or a description of the test bench.
Features of the device description:
- May contain Unicode characters.
- Is also the primary identifier of a device in the display of available connections under Connection.
Device Control
With [Restart…] you can reboot the operating system of the connected device. All running applications are terminated immediately, and unsaved data is lost.
Support
With [Save Report…] you can save the status information of the connected device in a file. The data will be compressed and stored on the local computer. On request you can send this data to the Vector support for analysis.
