Configure a License Server

 

This information applies only to licenses of the type Named User (Network Activation).

If you configure a computer as a customer license server, the licenses on the configured server can be used on the network by the other computers. Admin rights are automatically set for this operation.

Procedure

Using a Computer as a Customer License Server

  1. Open the Vector License Client.
  2. Open Settings|Licensing Server.
  3. Under License Server Configuration, activate Enable License Server.
  4. Click [OK].
    The computer now acts as a license server.
    The other computers must be able to access the licenses on this computer via the IP address or the network name.
