To migrate licenses on a license carrier (e.g., a keyman or Vector network interface) by means of a computer with internet connection, follow the procedure below.

Notice!
- Do not disconnect your device during this process!
- This process can't be undone and the license bits are deleted from the device.
- Make sure that only the license bit carrier is connected and that all other Vector applications are closed.

Online Migration Procedure
- Connect the device carrying the license bit of the license you wish to migrate.
- Open the Vector License Client.
- In the ribbon, click Licensing|[Migrate].
The dialog Migrate License appears.
Note: The aggregated view of the table groups identical licenses and displays them in a single list entry.
- Optionally, click [License Bits...] to open the dialog License Bit Overview and to see all available license bits available for a specific device that you may select from the drop down menu.
Click [OK] to close the dialog.
Note: The Vector License Client automatically checks and displays all supported and currently available license carriers in the selection field. If your license carrier is missing, make sure your license carrier is connected correctly.
- Enter the activation key in the corresponding entry field Activation Key.
Information about the available licenses with this activation key appear in the table.
- Select the licenses you wish to migrate.
- Click [Select...].
The dialog Migrate License appears and shows which of the selected licenses can be migrated or not.
- Click [Send Request].
The window is closed and the selected licenses are processed immediately. The duration may vary dependent on how many license bits you selected.
The status of the migration is shown in the status bar.
A dialog appears asking if you want to continue with the activation of the licenses. Click [OK] and continue with the chapter Activation.
