Online Activation

 

To activate licenses on a license carrier (e.g., computer, keyman, Vector network interfaces) by means of a computer with internet connection, follow the procedure below.

Online Activation Procedure

  1. Open the Vector License Client.
  2. In the ribbon, click Licensing|[Activate].
    The dialog Activate License appears.
  3. Enter your Activation Key into the upper entry field.
  4. Click [Load].
    All licenses available with this activation key are displayed in a table.

Note concerning identical licenses

The aggregated view of the table groups identical licenses and displays them in a single list entry. Identical licenses are licenses with the same name and the identical maximum version. The number of aggregated identical licenses is displayed in the table column No. of Licenses. Refer to the help page user interface.
  1. In the very first column of the table, activate the check boxes of the product you wish to activate.
    You may activate different products on one license carrier at the same time. However, the Vector License Client will warn you in case a certain product is selected twice to avoid accidental double activation.
  2. Select the License Carrier in the upper right corner.
    Connect the license carrier to the computer if it is a keyman or a Vector network interface. The Vector License Client automatically checks and displays all supported and currently available license carriers (e.g., computer, keyman, Vector network interface) in the selection field. If your license carrier is missing, make sure your license carrier is well connected (refer to Troubleshooting). In the case of a Vector network interface make sure the newest available driver is installed.
  3. Click [Activate].
    The window is closed and the selected licenses are processed immediately. The duration may vary dependent on how many products you selected under step 5 above. The status of the activation is shown in the status bar.
  4. The now activated products appear in the overview.
