Troubleshooting

You can solve issues concerning the system or specific licenses by clicking [Miscellaneous]|[Troubleshooting] in the Ribbon. In the window Troubleshooting, select the area where you want to solve issues.

Connected License Carriers

This area shows a list of available license carriers including their status and the number of associated (valid) licenses. The Repair function can be used to synchronize a license carrier listed in the overview with the Vector license server and thus maintain a corrupt license carrier. A license carrier may be corrupt if some previous action failed (e.g., due to connection problems). The Repair function is available for all license carriers.

The Vector License Client checks whether the computer on which you are performing the action is connected to the Internet and automatically establishes a connection to the Vector license server accordingly. You can then proceed accordingly:

  • If you intended to use the online procedure but the dialog for the offline procedure is opened, please try the following.
  • Open the dialog in ribbon Settings|Offline/Online Mode and deactivate Offline.
  • Open the dialog in ribbon Settings|Proxy Settings and check your proxy settings and credentials.
  • Check your internet connection and contact your corporate IT admin.

Furthermore you can create a *.csv file containing the information displayed in the Connected License Carrier overview via Export.

System

This area displays information about your system that may be relevant when contacting the Vector Support.

Via Export you can create a *.csv file containing the information displayed in the System overview.
