Component
PWMMC
Pulse width modulation for motor control
Properties:
-
Component name - Name of the component.
-
Device - Selection of the PWM module.
-
Align - Determines if the motor control PWM will operate in edge-aligned mode or center-aligned mode. On some architectures this value may affect frequency/period of the output signal.
For more information see Application Notes
-
Settings available only if the component is implemented with inheritance from corresponding peripheral initialization component.
-
Settings supported for Freescale HC08, HCS12 and HCS12X derivatives only.
-
Mode - Determines if the motor control PWMs will be six independent PWMs or three complementary PWM pairs.
For more information see Application Notes
-
Top-Side PWM Polarity - Determines if the top-side PWMs will have positive or negative polarity. For positive polarity active state is logic high, inactive logic low. For negative polarity active state is logic low, inactive logic high.
-
Bottom-Side PWM Polarity - Determines if the bottom-side PWMs will have positive or negative polarity.
-
Settings available only if the component is not implemented with sharing corresponding peripheral initialization component.
-
Settings supported for HC08 derivatives only.
-
Output control - Enable/Disable control of the output pin for each channel. This property is not available for MC68HC08LB8 CPU type.
-
Reload - These buffered read/write bits select the PWM CPU load frequency
For more information see Application Notes
-
Frequency/period - Frequency/period of the output signal. On some peripherals frequency in center-aligned mode is twice smaller than in edge-aligned mode. Real output frequency is calculated below, see property Output Frequency.
It is necessary to type here both value and unit (see Timing Setting Syntax). The setting may be made with the help of the Timing dialog box that gets open when clicking on button
(...).
For more information see Application Notes.
-
Output Frequency - PWMMC output frequency (for information only). On some peripherals output frequency depends on mode selected in Align property. This item displays final output frequency, the value is based on properties Frequency/period and Align.
For more information see Application Notes
-
Same frequency in modes - Frequency is exactly the same in all speed modes (high, low, slow). If you select 'Yes' timing will keep with tolerance 1 tick. If you select 'No' timing will keep with setting precision only.
-
Settings not supported for Freescale HC08 LB8 derivative.
-
Dead-time - In the complementary mode, dead-time generators automatically insert software-selectable activation delays into each pair of PWM outputs. It is necessary to type here both value and unit (see Timing Setting Syntax). The setting may be made with the help of the Timing dialog box that gets open when clicking on button
(...).
For more information see Application Notes
