Freescale Carrier Modulator Timer
Properties:
-
Component name - Name of the component.
-
Modulator timer - Modulator counter used for signal generation.
-
Output pin - Pin used for output of the generated signal.
-
Output pin signal - Signal name of output pin.
-
Output pin active level - Select the polarity of the output pin. The active pin level can be selected high or low.

Settings only if output pin support drive strength

Interrupt service/event - Interrupt service/event. If this property is set to Enabled, the component functionality (e.g. event calling) depends on the interrupt service and will not operate if the CPU interrupts are disabled. For details please refer to chapter "interrupt service in the component's generated code".
The following items are available only if the group is enabled (the value is "Enabled"):

Interrupt - Interrupt associated with end of the modulation cycle (for information only).

Interrupt priority - Priority of the interrupt associated with the peripheral.

Mode - The mode of operation.
There are 3 modes:
- Time - The carrier generator's output signal is controlled by the "Primary carrier frequency settings". This signal is present on the output pin during Mark part ("Mark pulse width") of the "Modulation period". The following items are displayed in this mode:

Primary carrier frequency settings - Primary carrier frequency settings group.
The following items are available only if the group is enabled (the value is "Enabled"):

Modulator settings - Modulation period settings.
The following items are available only if the group is enabled (the value is "Enabled"):

Modulator mark compare - Modulator compare register used for mark pulse generation.

Modulator space compare - Modulator compare register used for space pulse generation.

Mark pulse width - Mark pulse width in the output signal. Mark is the part of the modulation period which consist of Mark and Space. It is necessary to type here both value and unit (see Timing Setting Syntax). The setting may be made with the help of the Timing dialog box that gets open when clicking on button

Modulation space - Space is part of the modulation period, which consist of the mark and space. If the space is disabled, then Mark pulse width equals to the modulation period and no space is generated in the output signal. Otherwise the modulation period length equals to addition of the Mark pulse width and Space pulse width.
The following items are available only if the group is enabled (the value is "Enabled"):

Space pulse width - Space pulse width in the output signal. Space is the part of the modulation period which consist of Mark and Space. It is necessary to type here both value and unit (see Timing Setting Syntax). The setting may be made with the help of the Timing dialog box that gets open when clicking on button

- Baseband - The carrier generator is switched off. Output signal is controlled only by the modulator. The following items are displayed in this mode:

- FSK - The modulator switches between the primary frequency ("Primary carrier frequency settings") and the secondary frequency ("Secondary carrier frequency settings") after each period. Appropriate carrier frequency is present on the output pin during Mark part ("Mark pulse width") of the "Modulation period". The following items are displayed in this mode:

Primary carrier frequency settings - Primary carrier frequency settings group.

Primary carrier frequency timer - Name of the counter used to generate primary carrier frequency.

Mark pulse width in carrier clocks - The Mark pulse width of the output signal. The Mark is the part of the modulation period which consist of Mark and Space. A value entered here is an integer number of corresponding carrier clocks. At the end of the modulation period the carrier generator toggles between primary and secondary carrier frequency, therefore the absolute Mark pulse width changes accordingly.

Modulation space - Space is part of the modulation period, which consist of the mark and space. If the space is disabled, then Mark pulse width equals to the modulation period and no space is generated in the output signal. Otherwise the modulation period length equals to addition of the Mark pulse width and Space pulse width.
