Manual configuration allows you to add, delete or change additional IP network devices that are not automatically found on the network. You can specify the following:
- The IP address
- The computer name of the device
- The TCP port number
These settings are retained after the end of the program, i.e. the network devices always appear in the list, regardless of whether they are found in the network or not.

General
In this tab you create or edit remote connections. A remote connection enables remote administration of a device in the Vector cloud. This additional service can only be booked for VN8810 devices. Select the corresponding connection, enter the VN8810 session to be connected and configure the server.
Session Configuration
A session identifies a connection to a Vector VN8810 hardware. The Session Identifier corresponds to the device type (e.g. VN8810) and the serial number of the device (e.g. -54) without leading zeros.
Server Configuration
To configure the connection to the Vector Cloud for remote administration, the server URL must be specified. You will receive this after booking the additional service for remote administration.
Please contact us at VN88-support@vector.com for more information.
Proxy Configuration
For security reasons, in many IT environments it is not possible to connect directly to the Internet. A proxy server checks and, if necessary, filters the data traffic. In this case, activate Use proxy and specify the proxy server under address (URL) and its connection under TCP port. Then activate Use proxy credentials and enter your user name and the corresponding password for authentication.
