The CANoe/CANalyzer plug-in is used to configure the distributed mode and the standalone mode in CANoe/CANalyzer.

The CANoe/CANalyzer plug-in is supported by all devices.

Installation of the CANoe/CANalyzer Plug-in

New devices are automatically shipped with the current CANoe/CANalyzer version and installed CANoe/CANalyzer plug-in. The device can be used immediately. To be able to use the new functions with existing devices, the CANoe/CANalyzer plug-in must be installed automatically during a CANoe/CANalyzer software update:

1. For devices that are used in CANoe/CANalyzer, the software version is checked during connection setup in distributed mode and updated automatically if necessary. This check also takes place when a device is selected via ribbon tab Home|group Measurement|Vector Tool Platform dialog in CANoe/CANalyzer.
2. For devices that can only be reached via the Standalone Manager and running a CANoe/CANalyzer version < 11.0 SP3, a CANoe/CANalyzer software update must be performed once via the Standalone Manager.
   Subsequent software updates can then be performed using the CANoe/CANalyzer plug-in in the Vector Platform Manager or in the respective dialog via Home ribbon tab|Group Measurement|Vector Tool Platform in CANoe/CANalyzer.
