Online Deactivation

 

To deactivate licenses on a license carrier (e.g., computer, keyman, Vector network interface) by means of a computer with internet connection, follow the procedure below.

If you want to activate the license on another license carrier, the assignment must be deleted by Vector. This can be done easily by sending an e-mail to Vector, see step 7 below.

Procedure

Step by Step Procedure

  1. Open the Vector License Client.
  2. In the overview, select the licenses you wish to deactivate.
  3. In the ribbon, click Licensing|[Deactivate].
    The dialog Deactivate Licenses appears.
  4. In the table, check your selected licenses if necessary.
  5. Click [Send Request].
    The window is closed and the selected licenses are processed immediately. The duration may vary dependent on how many products you selected under step 2 above. The status of the activation is shown in the status bar.
  6. The deactivated licenses disappear from the overview and a dialog appears.
    If you do not wish to activate the license on another license carrier, the procedure is completed now and you can simply close the dialog.
  7. If you want to activate the license on another license carrier now, fill out the form in the dialog and send the e-mail directly to Vector to have the old assignment deleted.
