View Advanced Connection Details

The Advanced Connection Details dialog shows detailed information about a selected connection.

To see advanced connection details:

  1. Click the connection to select it.
  2. On New-UX, click and select Connection Details. Expand Advanced Details on the Connection Details pane.
    On Classic UI, click File > Connections > Advanced Connection Details.
  3. The connection detail information is not updated automatically. For example, the session time remaining shows how much time remains when you open the dialog. To update advanced detail information, click Refresh or click the check box labeled Automatically refresh.

The Advanced Connection Details window gives the following information:

Field Name

Description

Last Login Time

Displays the last session login date and time.

Last Login Device

Displays the Hostname or FQDN of the last login device. Not available for Browser login.

Last Login Agent Type

Displays the device OS details.

Session time remaining

The duration that the current VPN session will remain active before credentials must be re-entered or the session manually extended.

Session duration

The duration that the current VPN session is active.

Tunnel type

This describes whether connection is a VPN tunnel or a port/application mapping through SAM (Secure Access Manager).

VPN type

The protocol used to create the tunnel (SSL or ESP).

Assigned IPv4

The IPv4 address assigned to the Ivanti virtual adapter.

Bytes in

Number of bytes received through the tunnel.

Bytes out

Number of bytes sent through the tunnel.

Connection Source

This describes how the Ivanti Secure Access Client received the connection entry:

  • If the value is Preconfigured, then the connection entry came from a Connection Set that was downloaded from a gateway.
  • If the value is User-added, then the connection entry was manually added by the end user with the Ivanti Secure Access Client UI.
  • And if the value is Dynamic, then it means that the connection entry was resulted from launching the Ivanti Secure Access Client by connecting a web browser to a Ivanti gateway and pressing the “Start” button on the web page.

Connection Set Name

This is the name of the Connection Set that contains this connection entry. Your system administrator can use this name to find the matching Connection Set on the admin console of the appropriate gateway (see next field) to see the Connection Set’s details.

Connection Set Owner

This is the name of the Ivanti gateway that most recently edited the Connection Set that has this connection entry. This gateway, plus the Connection Set name listed above, are the two bits of information needed to locate the client’s Connection Set configuration across multiple Ivanti gateways.

Connection Set Last Modified

This is the time the Ivanti Secure Access Client’s Connection Set was updated on the gateway.

Connection Set Server ID

When Ivanti Secure Access Client is first deployed, it receives a Connection Set that is bound to a particular Server ID. Upon all subsequent connections to a gateway, the client will download an updated Connection Set only if the gateway’s Connection Set has a Server ID matching the client’s Connection Set’s Server ID.

Connection Set Download Host

This is the server from which the Ivanti Secure Access Client most recently updated its connection set.

Connection Set Download Time

This is the time at which the Ivanti Secure Access Client last most recently updated its connection set.

The above fields are also displayed in the Ivanti Connect Secure administrative console.
