# Mercurial Credential Manager for Windows

The [Mercurial Credential Manager for Windows](https://github.com/mminns/Mercurial-Credential-Manager-for-Windows) (MCM) began life as a fork of [Git Credential Manager for Windows](https://github.com/Microsoft/Git-Credential-Manager-for-Windows) (GCM) and as such provides secure Mercurial credential storage for Windows when used in conjunction with the [Mercurial Credential Manager Extension](https://bitbucket.org/mminns/mercurial-credential-manager-extension).
MCM provides multi-factor authentication support for Bitbucket as well as Basic authentication support for other hosts.

This project includes:

* Secure password storage in the Windows Credential Store.
* Two-factor authentication support for Bitbucket.
