  • Component name - Component name
  • LCD module - LCD peripheral
  • Interrupt service/event - Component uses the interrupt service for an event calling. Interrupt service is invoked with the LCD module frame frequency. If this property is set to "Enabled", the component functionality depends on the interrupt service and will not operate if the CPU interrupts are disabled. For details please refer to chapter "interrupt service in the component's generated code".
    The following items are available only if the group is enabled (the value is "Enabled"):
    • Interrupt - Interrupt vector invoked from the timer (for information only).
    • Interrupt priority - Priority of the interrupt associated with the LCD module
  • Settings supported for Freescale ColdFireV1, HCS08 and RS08 derivatives only.
    • Settings only for LCD module ver. 1 (LC60)
      • Waveform type - Type of the LCD waveform. The LCD module provide two different LCD waveform types including one that is recommended for low-power applications.
    • Stop in Wait mode - Allows or disables the LCD driver and charge pump whenever the MCU goes into wait mode.
    • Stop in Stop mode - Allows or disables the LCD driver and charge pump whenever the MCU goes into Stop mode.
    • Settings only for LCD module ver. 2
      • Full complementary drive - If enabled, GPIO that are shared with LCD pins will operate as full complementary if Voltage supply control is set to "Drive VLL3 externally" Voltage regulator is disabled.
    • Voltage supply control - This item configures a kind of the LCD module power supply.
    • Settings only if LCD support OpAmp bypass control
      • Op Amp control - Determines whether the internal LCD op amp buffer is bypassed.
    • Settings only for LCD module ver. 2
      • Settings only if LCD support Voltage regulator.
        • Voltage regulator - Enables internal voltage regulator.
          The following items are available only if the group is enabled (the value is "Enabled"):
          • Trim value - Regulated voltage trim value is used to adjust the regulated input.
    • Settings only for LCD module ver. 1 (LC60)
    • Charge pump - The item enables/disables LCD charge pump and makes available other Charge pump settings.
      The following items are available only if the group is enabled (the value is "Enabled"):
      • Settings only if LCD support Voltage regulator.
        • Charge pump mode - This item configures the internal charge pump to be a voltage doubler (recommended for use with 3-V LCD glass) or a voltage tripler (recommended for use with 5-V LCD glass).
      • Charge pump clock adjust - This item adjusts the clock source for the charge pump.
      • Charge pump clock - LCD module Charge Pump Clock (for information only).
    • Blink rate bits value - This item selects the frequency at which the LCD display blinks when the BLINK is asserted.
    • Blink rate - LCD display blink rate (for information only).
    • LCD frame frequency - The LCD module frame frequency is defined as the number of times the LCD segments are energized per second (for information only).
  • Settings supported for Freescale HC08 derivatives only.
    • Current mode - Current mode of the LCD output pins - resistor ladder
      high current 37kOhm resistors
      low current 146kOhm resistors
      fast charge 37/146kOhm resistors
    • Fast charge period - Fast charge period determine the duty cycle of the fast charge duration. For selected period in each cycle frame are resistor values reduced to default. Items are accessible just only if Current mode is set to fast "charge".
  • Display mode - Mode of the LCD driver (How many frontplane and backplane pins are used)

  • Base clock - Base clock of the LCD module. See Help of the component (General Info) for more information.
  • Settings supported for Freescale HC08 derivatives only.
    • Contrast - Contrast of the LCD - value 0 - 15 (0 - the highest contrast, 15 the lowest contrast)
  • Backplane pins - Backplane pins which are allocated by this LCD driver.
