[previous] 4080 [next] long double value returned from long long %s().
Arithmetic type - Implicit conversions

An expression of type long double is the return expression in a function that returns a value of type signed long long. An implicit conversion will occur which may result in a loss of precision as the fractional element of the value is discarded. If the integral element of the value cannot be represented in type signed long long, the result will be meaningless.

For example:

/*PRQA S 2017,3408,3447,3602 ++*/
/**************************
 * OPTIONS -ex LONGLONG
 **************************/

extern long double v;

extern signed long long foo ( void )
{
    /* ... */
    return(v);                          /* Message 4080 */
}
