[previous] 0812 [next] [C] Header name token '<text>' found outside '#include' preprocessing directive.
Constraint violations REFERENCE - ISO:C90-6.1.7 Header Names - Constraints

This is a constraint error

The sequence < filename > is recognised as a single token (a 'header name') by the preprocessor when used in the context of a #include directive. A token of this form, which could be constructed with the ## operator, is not permitted in any other context.

For example:

/*PRQA S 815,832,861,881,3408,3429 EOF */

#define IFILE(x) < ## x ## >

#include IFILE(=)       /* OK, will attempt to include '=' header file */

extern void foo(void)
{
    IFILE(=)            /* Message 0812 and others */
}
