This is a constraint error

A 'continue' statement has no meaning outside an iteration statement. For example: 


/*PRQA S 770,2005,2017,3227,3408 ++*/

extern void foo(int i, int n)
{
   while (i < n)
   {
      ++i;

      if (i == n)
      {
         continue;
      }
   }

   continue;                    /* Message 0766 */
}

MISRA C:2012 Rules applicable to message 0766:

Rule-1.1  (Required) The program shall contain no violations of the standard C syntax and constraints, and shall not exceed the implementation's translation limits
