ISO C99 Language features REFERENCE - ISO:C99-6.7.4 Function specifiers

'inline' functions are a feature of ISO:C99. This syntax is not supported in ISO:C90.

For example:

}

MISRA-C:2004 Rules applicable to message 1055:
