This is a constraint error

A function is being called with fewer arguments than are specified in a preceding prototype declaration. This is a language constraint violation and is very dangerous as it may lead to corruption of the stack. For example:

int foo(int a, int b);

void test(int x)
{
    int ret;

    ret = foo(x);              /* Message 0422 */
}


MISRA-C:2004 Rules applicable to message 0422:

Rule  1.1  (Required) All code shall conform to ISO/IEC 9899:1990 C programming language, ISO 9899, amended and corrected by ISO/IEC 9899/COR1:1995, ISO/IEC 9899/AMD1:1995, and ISO/IEC 9899/COR2: 1996192
Rule  16.6  (Required) The number of arguments passed to a function shall match the number of parameters.
