Integer constants can be expressed in the C language in decimal, hexadecimal or octal representation. This constant appears to be expressed in a binary representation. This format is supported by some compilers but is a language extension. For example:

unsigned char uca = 0x1F; /* Hex constant */
unsigned char ucb = 037; /* Octal constant - Message 0339 */
unsigned char ucc = 0b00011111; /* Binary constant - Message 0246 */
